First Post
Well, I am officially living in Buenos Aires now. I'm renting my own place, taking spanish lessons, and I have eaten more than one steak. I'm not quite settled enough to give you my first impressions yet, but they will be posted soon... I promise.
In the meantime, you'll just have to sate your voyeuristic appetites with this not-so-meaty photo album.

Hey - How long have you been 'in residence'? I had heard you were planning to head down there, but didn't know just when...
I never made it for a weekend with the OC, but I think it'd be good fun to drop down there for a weekend sometime - if you'd entertain a visiting cousin (I'll even see if I can drag Mike along, but he's not a real spontaneous dude the last few years, so we'll have to see). Let me know what the next couple of months look like, and maybe we can pick a weekend...
Kate and I just got back from a week in Thailand (Krabi) and Hong Kong - a good time was had. Did a little diving off Ko Phi Phi for a day, otherwise just a lot of sitting on the beach.
Well, back to work -

A little over two weeks, now.

Yeah. I wasn't that sure either, so I just set myself an arbitrary deadline. I know I have a tendency to overthink things sometimes. So, if I didn't have a target date, I may well have convinced myself not to go. But, I'm here now... it'll be a bit harder to think myself back across the equator.

For shame, for shame.

Of course. You are more than welcome to come visit. I'll meet you at the airport, bearing empanadas.

Just because he's got two babies. Pfft. What a sell out.

It looks like I'm going to be back in the States for the holidays. I think anytime after January should be a fine time.

Found out from your dad, at his retirement lunch, that you moved down there. I'm looking forwards to the reports from waaaaaaay south of the border.
